I'm specialized in Performance and Condition.

My name is Antonio Ramos and I was born in the paradisiac island of Madeira – the perfect setting for practising sports. Since childhood that sports have been my life and you could find me either surfing, swimming, playing football and other team sports, or trekking in the mountains. I have successfully completed my bachelor’s degree in Sports, Exercise and Health, from Escola de Desporto de Rio Maior. Along with my undergraduate studies I worked as a Strength and Condition Coach for Club Naval do Funchal surf team, and for the Benedita U18 football team.
I am now living in Munich since June 2016, where I work at the FT – Club Munchen. Here I coach professional athletes, especially the Rugby team, and regular members of the club. In addition, I’m also developing my work in Outdoor Circuit and writing articles for the Functional Training Magazine

Services

Personal training

Our first session will consist of a personalised consultation and evaluation, where we will discus your lifestyle and background, your goals, and assess the quality of your movements, asymmetries, limitations and overall physical condition.
An individual plan will be design specifically for you, targeting your particular needs that will be worked along with me.
After all the former being set, your training sessions will last approximately 1 hour, where you will have my undivided attention. The session consist of a global approach that aims at: mobility, regeneration, dynamic warm-up, injury prevention, strength training, conditioning and development of energy systems.
Minimum term is 3 months, with at least one session per month. There is also the possibility of personalised training for two people.

Face-to-Face follow-up

Face to face follow up is for those who are interested in training by themselves and still, once a month, check-in for a progression assessment. Just like PT our first session will consist of a personalised consultation and evaluation, where we will discus your lifestyle and background, your goals, and assess the quality of your movements, asymmetries, limitations and overall physical condition.
An individual plan will be design specifically for you, targeting your particular needs that will be given to you so that you can work it out by yourself. Once a month we will meet again for a progression assessment and re- evaluation, analysing how you are evolving and define all necessary adjustments to improve your progression.
The session will consist on evaluating the quality of movement, improving asymmetries, improving posture, strength and overall physical condition. Minimum term is 3 months, with one session per month.

Online coaching

Online coaching via video call is for those who do not have the ability to train at the venue, and still would be interested in working together. After an initial consultation to define your goals, you will receive a training plan to follow.
The online coaching sessions will consist of a visual assessment and photographic record, for later comparison of your progress. Minimum term is 3 months, with at least one session per month.

My Philosophy

My goal is to transform people’s lives through a holistic perspective that includes four pillars transverse to the development of the human being: Movement, Nutrition, Mind-set and Regeneration. What I aim is to inspire and support clients to live their daily activities to the fullest, to their highest level of performance. My mission is to teach ordinary people and athletes functional movements combined with good nutrition and lifestyle habits to increase performance and prevent diseases. From early on I maintained an avid interest in the proper understanding of the theory and methodology of training and physical conditioning. I actively and continuously pursue my knowledge on the subject by reading and learning about all the different areas that influence human performance (training, nutrition, functional anatomy, biomechanics, motor control, leadership, psychology). Besides my devotion to strength training, I am also passionate about kettleball training and body weight training.
